    The Diplomatic Club has participated in the opening of Riga Food 2013
    The Minister for Agriculture in Latvia L. Strayuma and the Diplomatic Economic Club before the Riga Food 2013 examination.

    On the 4th of September, the members of the Diplomatic Economic Club have attended the international food and food equipment exhibition Riga Food 2013, participated in the opening ceremony and rewarding the winners of exhibition competition, as well as got acquainted with various expositions of food industry.

    Riga Food is the biggest food exhibition in Baltic countries, where there are represented the development tendencies and different innovations. In this year, 600 enterprises from 38 countries represent their products and services on Kipsala.

    In the opening of exhibition have participated the Minister for Agriculture in Latvia L. Strayuma,V. Tile – the General director of «ВТ 1», R. Nezhbort – the manager of the Riga Food exhibition.

    Minister for Agriculture in Latvia and the members of the DEC have examined the expositions of Liepaja’s fish cannery Kolumbija Ltd – the director Igor Krupnik, Pure Chocolate – the director Aivars Zimants, and other stands of Latvian enterprises.

    The ambassador of Uzbekistan Afzal Artikov has invited the Minister and the members of the DEC to get acquainted with products and goods from

    Uzbekistan. In this year the national Uzbekistan stand is taking more than 120 m2 in the exhibition pavilion.

    Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa.
    Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians.
    We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations.
    Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people.
    Please don't even allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons.
    All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Diplomatic Club for Peace

    1997 — the beginning of the formation of the idea of creating a club, the establishment of internal interactions in the club on the basis of international exhibitions in Riga, periodic meetings.
