Reception of the Ambassador of Ukraine in Latvia Evgeny Perebiynis from Ukraine on the occasion of Independence Day of Ukraine celebrated on 24 August, was held on 2 September at the Pullman Riga Old Town Hotel

The reception was attended by Chairman Saeima of the Republic of Latvia Inara Murniece, the Minister of agriculture of Latvia Janis Duklavs, diplomats and entrepreneurs.

The Ambassador of Ukraine congratulated all the present guests on the occasion and proposed a toast for peace, welfare and prosperity of the peoples of Ukraine and Latvia.

Inara Murniece handed to the Ambassador of Ukraine and guests of congratulations and wishes of prosperity on behalf of Saeima and the people of Latvia.

The state anthems were performed by a Capella female vocal group.Guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with hotel of Pullman Riga Old Town.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
