February 25, before the departure back home DEC President Pavol Baranay had meeting with members of club

On February 18, 2010 Riga, there was a reception at the Diplomatic Economic Club in Riga on occasion of the end of the mission in Latvia and departure back home of Mr. Pavol Baranay, Secretary of Slovak Embassy, Head of the trade-economic mission, DEC President.

On 14 February, the final day of Maslenitsa was celebrated in Gallery Park Hotel in Riga. Hospitable owners invited guests to see off winter and welcome in spring together

February 11, Mrs. Svetlana Dzene, Chairwoman of the Board, SMP Bank, invited DEC members to the introduction meeting about SMP Bank activities and presentation of the Light House Hotel in Jurmala.

Starting from February 5, the new exhibition season was opened in Riga. The first exhibition of the season is tourist fair Balttour 2010.
DEC’s members attended the Balttour opening ceremony, visited stands and were informed about tourist industry offers in Latvia, Baltic’s and other states

February 4, 2010 there was Club meeting with the representative of Nord Stream in Baltic states. Nord Stream is a company with headquarters in Switzerland which implements an international project of gas pipeline building in Baltic Sea directly from Russia to Germany.

January 28, during the Club meeting current Club activities and a provisional plan of events for the Spring term 2010 were discussed.

January 22, the Board had a regular meeting where questions regarding day to day live of the Club, plan of events and amendment to the Chart of the Club were discussed.

On December 18, 2009, Latvian products under the brand „Riga Mark“ were presented at the Lido center. This is a joint program of Riga and Moscow city councils with the goal to promote Latvian products on Moscow and Russia markets.
