8.septembrī viesnīcā Grand Palace Slovākijas vēstniecības vēstnieks Latvijā Dušan Krištofek rīkoja pieņemšanu par godu Slovākijas Republikas Konstitūcijas dienai, kuru valstī atzīmē 1.septembrī.

Pieņemšanas sākumā vēstnieks vērsās pie klātesošajiem ar līdzjūtības vārdiem sakarā ar traģisko notikumu Krievijas pilsētā Jaroslavļā, kas skāra vairākas valstis, jo hokeja komandā „Lokomotiv“ spēlēja labākie spēlētāji no 11.valstīm. tajā skaitā no Slovākijas un Latvijas. Klusuma brīdis bija pasludināts, lai vēlreiz atcerēties visus spēlētājus.

Konstitūcijas diena ir valsts Nacionālie svētki. 1992.gada 31.augustā Slovākijas parlamentā tika izskatīts valsts pamatlikuma projekts, kurā bija ievestas dažas korekcijas un 1.septembrī notika atklāts balsojums par Konstitūcijas gala variantu.

Dušan Krištofek novēlēja panākumus un veiksmi Slovākijas un Latvijas tautām, veselību un labklājību visiem.

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
