On April 25, the reception of the Polish Embassy in Latvia was held on the occasion of the National Day of May 3, the Day of the Constitution of Poland, adopted in 1791

An introductory speech was made by the Chargé d’Affaires of Poland in Latvia, Ewelina Brudnicka.On May 3, Poland marks the National Day of May 3 (Swieto Narodowe Trzeciego Maja) and the Constitution Day on May 3, dedicated to the anniversary of the adoption of the country’s constitution in 1791.
The first Polish Constitution is the first in modern Europe and the second in world history after the US Constitution.

The Chargé d’Affaires of Poland in Latvia, Ewelina Brudnicka, congratulated the guests on the holiday, wished success and prosperity to the peoples of Poland and Latvia.

By tradition, the official receptions of the Embassy of Poland in Latvia are accompanied by musical concerts. This year the musical trio from Poland Wlodek Pawlik trio under the guidance of pianist Wlodek Pawlik, winner of many international competitions. The trio’s album received in 2014 the prestigious Grammy Award.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
