    Economics Webinar

Diplomatic Economic Club has organised a Webinar on May 14, joined by members and guests of the Club. Mr. Aleksandr Izgorodin (Chief Economist at SME Finance) has shared his thoughts on the Current Economic Situation in the Baltic States.

Video-conference of our Club on May 14, 2020Presentation from the Webinar of the Diplomatic Economic Club

In the beginning, Aleksandr has introduced the Economic Situation in China (to compare), because economics in China has started recovering.
Also, the consumers’ behavior during the pandemic in the EU and Baltic’s has been discussed. One of the conclusions of the Expert – Baltic countries have suffered less on the state of emergency, therefore, the Economic Crisis should not be as significant, as in other EU countries. However, there are some signs that changes in the industrial sector might appear later.

Aleksandr has pointed out – there are new opportunities in every crisis. For instance, Benelux countries now are using their industrial resources more actively, that can increase the export from other countries (and Baltic’s as well). There were explained other opportunities also.

Mr. Aleksandr Izgorodin has prepared the presentation, that is available there here *.pdf

Participants of the Webinar appreciated the „online meeting“, wished all the best and stay healthy to all other participants.

Diplomatic Club for Peace Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa.
Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians.
We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations.
Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people.
Please don't even allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons.
All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Diplomatic Club for Peace
