    Meeting at the BALTIC INTERNATIONAL BANK  

    Reception at the bank

    On November 4th there was a meeting at the BALTIC INTERNATIONAL BANK. Members of the Club were introduced to the bank activities, and participated in a dialog dedicated to the development of modern economy.

    Reception at the bank

    The Chairman of the Board of the Bank guided an excursion in the historical building of the Bank, in a meanwhile providing information about client service possibilities and organization the Bank’s work.

    Members of the Club

    There was a round table meeting. During this round table meeting the following issues were discussed: world financial crisis and it’s impact on Latvia’s economy; potential approaches to the problems of Latvian banks liquidity; attitude towards potential reformation of the World financial architecture; and different opinions regarding expansion of the reserve of world currencies.

    President of the Club Pavol Baranay presented a Diploma to the Chairman of the Board on behalf of the Club. Mr. President also expressed his gratitude for an opportunity to discover the Bank’s activities and to share opinions regarding the current economic situation.

    Also, there was the Club session meeting where a new vice-president was elected Barbaros Tuna Erdem — Counselor, Embassy of Turkey

    Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa.
    Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians.
    We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations.
    Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people.
    Please don't even allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons.
    All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Diplomatic Club for Peace
