On 12th June the reception was held on the occasion of the National Day of Russia at the residence of the Ambassador of Russian Federation in Jurmala.
Ambassador of Russia А. Vesnakov congratulated all the guests, expressed confidence in the strengthening the friendship and neighborliness between our two countries.
The Russian and Latvian anthems were sounded in live performance by the Russian State Academic Symphony Orchestra named J.F.Svetlanova.

On behalf of the Russian President the Order of Friendship of the Nations was awarded to Metropolitan Alexander of Riga and All Latvia.
At the reception were introduced works by Latvian and Russian artists and porcelain works made at the famous Lomonosov Porcelain Factory. Everyone could get the portlet during the reception.
The soloist of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater performed with great success.
