25. oktobrī 2011g. Rīgā, viesnīcā Albert Hotel notika Austrijas vēstniecības pieņemšana sakarā ar Austrijas Nacionālo dienu.
Austrijas vēstnieks Latvijā Štefana Peringera kungs apsveica visus svētkos un novēlēja valstīm tālāk sekmīgi sadarboties un stiprināt ekonomiskas un kultūras saites.
Austrijas Nacionālās dienas vēsture ir saistīta ar padomju karaspēka izvešanu no Austrijas teritorijas. 1943. gadā PSRS, Lielbritānijas un ASV valdnieki apņēmās palīdzēt Austrijai atgūt neatkarību, suverenitāti un demokrātiju.
Valsts līgums, kurš tika parakstīts un stājās spēkā 1955. gada 27. jūlijā, atjaunoja Austrijas neatkarību un pilno suverenitāti. Pēc tam sabiedroto karaspēki tika izvesti no valsts un 26. oktobrī valdība apstiprināja federālo konstitucionālo likumu. Tika pasludināta pastāvīga neitralitāte, aizliegta piedalīšanās militārās savienībās un citu valstu militāro bāzu izvietošana Austrijā. Austrijas vēstniecības pieņemšana

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
