Молодежный турнир U 14 для юношей и девушек организовала Латвийская теннисная Федерация во главе с генеральным секретарем Я. Плиенсом. Я. Плиенс на открытии турнира рассказал о большом вкладе Илмара Солима в развитии латвийского тенниса, памяти которого был посвящен первый турнир. Организаторы заявили, что этот турнир станет ежегодным.

Победителем турнира среди юношей стал Максим Козиев, который в финале играл с Каспаром Вячеславом Бутенко, занявшим второе место.

We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
