Ambassador of Hungary in Latvia H.E. Gábor Dobokay

On the 23rd October 2012 in Riga there was held a reception organised by the Embassy of Hungary in Latvia on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the revolution of 1956 and the Hungarian nation’s fight for freedom.

Ambassador of Hungary in Latvia H.E. Mr. Gábor Dobokay greeted the guests, who attended the event and wished prosperity, good luck and wealth to the nations of Hungary and Latvia.

The reception took place in the Latvian Jazeps Vitols Musical Academy, where the concert of Hungarian singers „The Piano Duo Egri & Pertis took place.

23rd October is the National Holiday of respecting the memory of the Hungarian people, who were fighting against the USSR regime. Besides that, 23rd October is the day of Proclamation of the Republic of Hungary. (1989).

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
