Mr.Andris Ameriks and the Ambassador of Belarus H.E. Aleksandr Gerasimenko

On the 7th February the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Latvia H.E. Aleksandr Gerasimenko held a meeting with the businessmen, who are co-operating with the Belorussian companies in the different sectors of the economy.

During the year 2012 there were held a number of business forums in the cities of Brest and Molodechno, where businessmen from Latvia were taking part. The council held fruitful meetings and good developments in the business co-operation. Exhibition and the Forum Belarus Expo in December 2012, as well as other business and cultural events helped to promote mutually beneficial economic and cultural connections. .

The Ambassador of Belarus H.E. Aleksandr Gerasimenko told the guests about the results which were achieved in the economic co-operation with Latvia. The mutual trade turnover reached more than 3.7 billion USD for the year 2012. Currently there are more than 1500 common enterprises. Ambassador thanked everyone for the active co-operation and development of contacts on all the levels.
