4. jūlijā Diplomātiskajā Ekonomiskajā Klubā tika norīkots vakars, kurā tika apvienotas Pasaules futbola kausa 2014, kas notiek Brazilījā, tēmas

Pēc Kluba tradīcījas, vakaras sākumā un pirms ¼ finālspēles Francija – Vācija un Braziīja — Kolumbija , skātīšanas, notika viktorīna vēltīta pasaules futbola vēsturei.

Viskompetentākie futbola tēmā un vīktorinas uzvarētāji:
Žazira Mirzikasimova (Kazahstāna) – vislielākais pareizo atbilžu skaits un prognoze par spēles Francija – Vācija rezultātu 4. jūlijā!
A. Kozlovs (Ukraina), pareizi atbildējis uz vairākiem jautājumiem, tā starpā:
— Vārtsargs, kas nepalaiža ne vienu bumbu pēcspēles penalti sērijā Pasaules futbola kausa laikā?
Atbilde: — Aleksandrs Šovkovskis spēlē Ukraina – Šveice Pasaules kausā 2006!
Aleksandrs Šušunovs un Andrejs Sava arī kļūva par vīktorīnas uzvarētājiem.

Tikšanas piedalījas Kluba biedri. Vakara Goda viesis Latvijas futbola izlases galvenais treneris Marians Pahars arī palīdzēja vakara viesiem, un atbildēja uz jautājumu : "Kurā gadā tika pieņemts likums, ar kuru kļūva slavēns Valērijs Lobanovskis?
1924 gadā. Likums: vārti, iegūti ar taisnu sitienu no leņķa, ieskaitās. V. Lobanovskis, „Dinamo“ spēlētājs, meistarski prata šopaņēmienu.

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
