Francijas vēstnieks Latvijā Stefans Viskonti Rīgas vēstniecībā Francijas vēstnieks Latvijā Stefans Viskontiuzņēma viesus sakarā ar Francijas valsts svētkiem, „Bastīlijas ieņemšanas diena.“

Uzņemšanā piedalījās Latvijas valsts amatpersonas, diplomāti, uzņēmēji, kultūras un zinātnes darbinieki.

Francijas vēstnieks Latvijā Stefans Viskonti savu uzrunu izteica kā franču, tā latviešu valodā. Viņš visus apsveica 14.jūlija nacionālo svētku sakarā, novēlēja panākumus un izaugsmi franču un latviešu tautām un visiem viesiem.

Šajā dienā, 1789.gadā, tika izjaukts Bastīlijas cietums – despotisma simbols Francijas tautā. 1790.gadā šajā dienā pirmo reizi tika svinēta „Federācijas diena,“ kura simboliski noslēdza Francijas tautas apvienošanos. Šie notikumi ir uzskatāmi par Lielās Franču revolūcijas pirmavotu.

Likums par šīs dienas atzīšanu par nacionālajiem svētkiem stājās spēkā 1880.gada 6.jūlijā, Francijā.

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
