Reception of the Embassy of Spain in Riga. Spanish Ambassador in Latvia Susanna Camara Angulo

On October 15, Spanish Ambassador in Latvia Mrs. Susana Camara Angulo held a reception on the occasion of the National Day of Spain, which is celebrated on October 12
The national anthems of Spain and Latvia were performed «a cappella» by playing the guitar.

The Ambassador congratulated the guests on the holiday and wished the peoples of Spain and Latvia well-being and prosperity.

Spain celebrates National Day of Spain on October 12 — Hispanic Day. This festival is dedicated to all Spanish: Spanish culture, Spanish language, Spanish self-consciousness, Spanish people, Spanish history.

The holiday is timed to October 12, when in 1492 the Spanish sailors, led by Christopher Columbus, moored on the shores of the New World and discovered a new continent.
This holiday has been celebrated in Spain since 1918.

Appeal to world leaders and humanity

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
