From February 6 to 8, the International Exhibition Center in Riga hosted Balttour 2026, the largest travel trade fair in the Baltics. This 31st edition of the event marked the start of the new tourism season, showcasing the latest industry trends and travel destinations.
Members of the Diplomatic Economic Club attended the fair, exploring national stands and diverse offers from international participants.
This year’s exhibition highlights Latvias role as an important hub for international business and cultural exchange. During the opening ceremony, it was noted that tourism remains one of the most dynamic platforms for strengthening economic ties between countries.
This year’s statistics highlight the events significance:
Over 310 companies showcased their services;
Exhibitors represented 27 countries, with a special emphasis this year on the displays from China, Moldova, Slovakia, Spain, and other countries;
The event drew over 20,000 visitors, including 5,000 tourism industry professionals.
The Club members took a special interest in stands that displayed the cultural heritage and tourism potential of countries with which the Club maintains close diplomatic and economic ties.
Balttour 2026 once again proved to be an essential platform for fostering international cooperation and networking between diplomats and business leaders.
