Reception at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Riga

On February 11, members of the Diplomatic Economic Club attended a formal reception celebrating the Lunar New Year. The Spring Festival is not only a tribute to tradition but also an important occasion to review achievements and define prospects for business cooperation.

In his address, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Latvia, H.E. Mr. Tang Songgen, congratulated the guests and wished success and prosperity to the peoples of China and Latvia, emphasizing the importance of friendship and mutual understanding. Guests noted the warm atmosphere that fostered friendly communication between representatives of various nations.

The highlight of the evening was the magnificent «Charm of Jingchu» concert, performed by the Hubei Provincial Performing Arts Group. The audience was captivated by the artists’ skill, showcasing the richness of Chinese culture: from masterful Erhu performances and traditional Chu-style dances to breathtaking Han opera and Wudang martial arts. A special highlight was the collaborative project with local artists, symbolizing a cultural bridge between nations.
