The Lausanne Marathon, an international sports event with a world level reputation, was first held in the year 1993. The anniversary marathon took place on 27th October and had more than 14 000 participants from 35 countries

Five different distances, more than 100 000 spectators cheered the participants on the route between the vineyards of Lavaux and Lake Geneva.
Finish line was in the avenue near the Olympic museum

Club member Vitaly Butenko for the 7th time took part in the Lausanne half-marathon and this year showed his personal best 1:35.41,0. (In 2011 he finished with 1:42,48,4)
