Ambassador Pavol Sepelak have read greetings to the guests in the Latvian language, congratulated on the occasion of the National Day of the Czech Republic, wished success and prosperity of the people of the Czech Republic and Latvia.

October 28, 1918, the Czech National Committee in Prague declared independence from Austria-Hungary and announced the integration of the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the Republic of Czechoslovakia.
