Reception on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Victory over fascism
On 6of May, a reception was held on behalf of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the countries accredited in Latvia:
D. Akhundov — Azerbaijan, M. Dolgopolovа — Belarus, B. Mukhamedzhanov, Kazakhstan, A. Veshnyakov — Russia on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war of 1941-1945 over fascism.
The guests were addressed by the Ambassador of Russia Alexander Veshnyakov, noting that representatives of different countries and peoples gathered together to celebrate the uniting of all the holiday – anniversary of the Victory over fascism.
An important contribution was made by the Anti-Hitler coalition, which included the United States, Britain, France, and other countries.
On behalf of his colleagues, Ambassador Alexander Veshnyakov congratulated with the Victory day and wished health, happiness and prosperity for countries and peoples, he made a toast: «For the Victory, for their understanding and cooperation.»
