Members of the diplomatic Economic Club April 10 attended the opening of a photo exhibition, organised by the Embassy of Belarus in Latvia-25 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Belarus.

Photo exhibition opened at the National Library of Latvia (LNB), at the opening ceremony, statements were made by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Andrey Pildegovich, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belarus Oleg Kravchenko, Ambassador of the Republic Belarus M. Dolgopolova, Director of LNB A. Wilkes, Director of the National Library of Belarus R. Motulskiy. In the presentations, it was noted how intensively develop inter-agency contacts through various ministries and organisations.

25 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Latvia and the Republic of Belarus

The photo exhibition section «Belarus today» on the modern development of the Republic, as well as photographs and documents on the development of good-neighbourly mutually beneficial trade and economic and cultural relations between the two countries over a quarter of a century.

The Latvian National Library received a donation from the National Library of Belarus with a copy of the facsimile edition of the first book of the Belarusian first printer Frantsysk Skaryna.

the original Statute of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Edition of the 1588 year at the old Belorussian language stored in funds of the Latvian National Library.

The event was also attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Saeima G. Daudze, Minister of agriculture J. Duklavs, Minister of environmental protection and regional development. Environment President Latvian Academy of Sciences., Saema, deputies O.Sparitis, representatives of other government bodies, the business community, the Belarusian Diaspora, figures of science and culture of Latvia ".

Diplomatic Economic Club strongly condemns and is not accepting any kind of aggression, military collisions, wars between countries, which are happening here close in the center of Europe, on the other continents of the world, in Asia, in Africa. Nothing can justify the use of force in any cases, everywhere it leads to suffering of civilians. We call all parts, leaders of all levels for a peaceful solution of any disagreements through the dialog and negotiations. Only the Peace on our planet, olny Friendship and mutual understanding promote the life of people. *Please don't even* allow yourself any thought about World War III, about nuclear weapons. All the humanity remembers the wars of the 20th century, and if somebody has forgotten, please remember. Stop War!
