On May 9, a joint reception of the Embassies of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan was held in Riga on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 over fascism.

On behalf of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the countries accredited in Latvia, the Ambassador of Russia Yevgeny Lukyanov addressed the guests with a welcoming speech.

In his address, the ambassador congratulated on the celebration and expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the veterans’ organizations, the guests who celebrate this day, wished health and prosperity.

A festive concert prepared by theater groups at the House of Moscow in Riga and other artists was held.
